Solo Exhibition · K Gallery, Dubai
New works exploring fire, erasure, and the weight of what remains when identity is set alight.
WARNING! Mr. Y Burns marked a defining moment in the public presentation of Baseem Rayyes's work. Presented as a solo exhibition at K Gallery in Dubai, the show introduced large-scale original paintings exploring fire, erasure, and the stubborn persistence of the human figure under duress.
Installed with deliberate spatial restraint, the works emphasized scale, surface, and material presence. Dense oil passages, structural drips, and layered compositions invited viewers to move beyond digital familiarity and encounter the paintings physically — where texture, fracture, and depth fully reveal themselves.
These works arrived before the headlines, before the smoke, before the world caught up to what the canvas already knew. They are not reactions. They are premonitions. To stand before them is to stand before a truth that arrived early. To collect one is to hold a fragment of that foresight.

Every piece in this series carries a warning that was painted before it became a headline. Stand in front of them and feel what the canvas already knew.
